Richard Gird, WWII Veteran & Korean War Veteran Honor Flight Oct 2, 3, 4, 2015(non-registered)
It was an Honor to serve our Country. What a privilege to attend the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. with my son, Steve Gird and Guardian, Dona Buth. I want to thank Dave and all the staff and people that put this incredible journey together . It was very much appreciated. To see all the Memorials in one day is a miracle in its self. I was part of the Orange Team with Mel. She is a very Special lady. Thank you for all the great Memories. God Bless you and God Bless America, Dick Gird
My grandfather just returned from a flight today and I just want to say thank you to all of the men and women that make this possible. When he came down the stairs and saw his "welcome home", you could feel the excitement permeating from him. It is such an amazing thing that you all take care of our veterans the way they deserve. THANK YOU!
My grandson Scott Martinson and I were honored to be part of the Honor Flight from San Diego to Washington D.C. on Oct 18 2013. We have nothing but praise for all of the people that made the trip one of the most memorable events for both of us. I can not say enough about how wonderful it was. Everything that we saw and the celebrations were unbelievable. We were in the Red Team with Jeff Hall and what a great bunch of people. They thought of everything. I say it is just a "Class Act"! Thanks to everyone. I will never forget it. Elden(AL) Prazak AMHC 28 Years US Navy Retired
This weekend was "Beyond Comprehension" It was emotional and at times brought tears especially when we returned to the San Diego reception. I consider myself blessed while I was in the company of my fellow veterans. They are the worlds finest . Honor Flight personnel who planned this once in a life time event....I salute you and thank you for all that you did for us. There are not enough words to express my appreciation. Thank you to EVERYONE that made the October 5-7, 2012 Honor Flight a memory my Dad will treasure forever! He was so moved to see that so many people still cared about our WWII vets! Dave and Jeff made everything so special and the entire trip was very well planned. Thank you does not seem enough for what you have done. The trip was the BEST!
On behalf of my grandfather who was a part of the Honor Flight in May 2012, I just want to say thank you to everyone who took part in planning, organizing, and participating in all the events to honor these veterans. My grandfather was very excited to share his memories of this trip with me and my children. It is a cherished lasting memory for my grandfather and one he was able to pass down to his great grandchildren. We live in a world that often forgets the sacrifices others have made for our country so many years ago. We must be thankful for not only the current sacrifices military members make each day, but also those of the past. If past sacrifices were not made, we would most likely live in a very different world today. Thank you for honoring my grandfather's sacrifices as well as those of so many others!

AS A WW-II VETERAN, I WAS HONORED TO PARTICIPANT IN THE OCT. 14-16, 2011 HONOR FLIGHT TO WASHINGTON D.C. TO VISIT THE WW-II MEMORIAL AND OTHERS. IT WAS THE MOST TOUCHING EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. THE GREAT RECEPTION GIVEN TO US AT THE BALTIMORE AND SAN DIEGO AIRPORTS BROUGHT TEARS TO THE EYES OF ALL OF US. IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST TALKED EVENT OF THE TRIP. MY GREATEST THANKS GOES TO ALL OF THE SPONSORS AND ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO HONORED US.
